editorial wedding photography

As an editorial wedding photographer, based in suffolk, I cover the whole of the UK and I also love destination weddings, and elopements.

I will document your story through my lens, capturing the unique narrative of your wedding…

a documentary &

editorial

approach

From getting ready to vibrant celebrations, every detail reflects your individuality. I document the day's events and emotions—the glances, laughter, and tears of joy—while allowing genuine interactions to unfold. As a discreet observer, I guide posed moments to feel natural.

My goal is to preserve these memories timelessly, creating images that authentically represent your relationship and love, offering a visual narrative to treasure for years.NATURAL, Romantic & authentic LET ME TELL YOUR STORY….I want to capture the raw emotions that weddings evoke. If I hear tears of joy, laughter or even tears of sadness I want to document those incredibly special moments from your day. I want to show you things that you may not have even noticed at the time. I will provide you with a collection of beautiful images that you can both remember for many years to come.

` FAQ's `

How far in advance of the wedding do we need to book?

Congratulations on getting engaged!!

It’s crazy just how far in advance I book weddings (you're all so organised)! I am currently booking in 2025 weddings. Once you have your wedding date confirmed then get in touch as soon as you can to check if I have your date available. If I am unavailable, I will recommend some similar style photographers for your date.

How many weddings do you photograph?

I photograph a maximum of 35 weddings per year. This is so that I can give each of my couples my undivided attention, and be available to you for any assistance in the lead up to the wedding. I close my books once I get to this number.

How long will you stay at our wedding?

I generally start around 2- 2.5 hours prior to the ceremony which is plenty of time to capture the bridal preparations.

I photograph up until you hit the dance floor,  obviously after I have captured your first dance and a couple of songs after. If you require longer coverage into the evening I offer extra hours photography, which can be added at the time of booking or anytime before the day.

How many photographs should we expect?

There is no limit to the amount of photos I take on your wedding day, but I would estimate to provide you with a minimum of 600 images of what I believe to be the VERY best representation of your day. If you opt for the second photographer then I would set that minimum at 800 images.

When do you take our couple photos during the day?

I like to shoot your couple photos into two short sessions so that you’re not away from your guests for too long.

The first is usually shortly after the ceremony - it is also the first time the two of you will have some alone time!! This session is really relaxed and a generally little walk around together.

The second session is prior to sunset or often just before your first dance. This is because the light is so much softer and lower getting that ‘golden glow’ (fingers crossed for this in the UK)!

Should we book the second photographer?

I can only be in one place at a time. So if I am photographing bridal prep, my second photographer will be with the groom. They also capture the ceremony from the back of the aisle (which is a beautiful perspective), and they capture candids of your guests whilst I photograph the formal group photos. I would also recommend having the second photographer for larger weddings and winter weddings (where time is limited).

What do you mean by formal photos?

Despite my approach being natural and documentary style which predominantly captures your day as it occurs. However, there is place for formal group shots with your nearest and dearest, particularly parents and grandparents.

I would normally recommend limiting these to no more than 10, so that we can do these as quickly as possible to allow you to enjoy your day. Have you been to one of those weddings where this drags on for an hour whilst everyone says cheese… yeah thats not me!

Formal photos also can be informal.. >>

Do you require a meal?

.

I never stipulate to my couples to provide a meal for me (and my second photographer) but of course we always appreciate being fed. If not provided with a hot meal I will need to leave the site to obtain a hot meal during your wedding breakfast.

What if it rains?

Getting married in the UK usually means there is a good chance of rain! So I would always prepare for it. Pack some wellies and bring some umbrellas (I always have a few clear ones too) because we can still go out for some shots.

Group shots may be best to do inside but who said doing them inside wasn’t pretty?

We were thinking about a Pre Wedding Shoot..

Thats a great idea! Couples who have PWS’ generally get to have a practice in front of the camera so that they’re not feeling so apprehensive about it on their big day! Its also a great opportunity for us to get to know each other a little more too, after all.. I will be spending a large proportion of your wedding day with you!

You are also welcome bring along your dog or children too (but please bring someone to watch them whilst you have your couple photos as that’s the main reason for the shoot).

How soon after our wedding will we be able to see our photos?

I take great care in the post production work on your photographs so I aim to provide your final images by 8 weeks after your wedding date. The images will be available to view via the secure online gallery. you can share this with friends & family so that they can view, and even purchase any images directly from me. The images will also then be sent to you on a presentation USB.
