Outdoor Summer Wedding | Helmingham Hall Gardens

I met Vicky and Morgan just a couple of weeks prior to their wedding as although Vicky was originally from Suffolk, they now lived in Kent so we had our initial wedding consultation over FaceTime.

We chatted about their day and one of the main worries of any couple who chooses to get married outside in the UK is the unpredictable weather. They were so chilled about it though and although it was forecast for rain, and the morning was particularly grey, as Vicky walked down the Aisle the sun came out and it stayed out for the rest of the day.

How and when did you meet? What's your love story - is there a romantic or funny proposal?

We met in a bar in Ipswich called Sin.

What made you choose your venue? Did you look at many others?

We just completely fell in love with it. The gardens are beautiful, and all the deer running around is amazing to see. Every time we’ve been it just feels magical.

Do you have a theme or inspiration in your wedding? What kind of style would you describe your wedding? colours etc..

We are going for a very elegant and classy theme.

I guess some aspects of the wedding could be discribed as quite grand, so to speak. For example the venue or our cake.

What tips or advice would you give to other couples who are about to embark on the wedding planning journey?

Try and enjoy the planning as much as you can. It takes up more of your spare time than you would imagine and can be stressful at times. You’re also never going to please eveyone, so do what you and your partner want and don’t worry about anyone else - it’s your day!
